Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The connoisseur by Ettore Simonetti was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2019. The price achieved of GBP 31,250.00 (€ 36,352.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ettore Simonetti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The carpet merchant in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 553,250.00 (€ 702,910.35).

Die Arbeit The connoisseur von Ettore Simonetti kam im April 2019 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 31.250,00 (€ 36.352,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ettore Simonetti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The carpet merchant im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 553.250,00 (€ 702.910,35).
