Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work An Elegant Couple In The Garden by Ettore Simonetti for EUR 4,800.00. This price was achieved in the auction Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours at Sothebys in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ettore Simonetti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The carpet merchant in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 553,250.00 (€ 702,910.35).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit An Elegant Couple In The Garden von Ettore Simonetti für EUR 4.800,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours bei Sothebys in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ettore Simonetti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The carpet merchant im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 553.250,00 (€ 702.910,35).
