Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A female nude seen from behind, with two putti, among acanthus-leaf decoration by Etienne de Lavallée-Poussin was sold in the Living with Design: The Collections of Walter Lees and Mr NC. auction at Christies in London in July 2010. It changed hands for a price of GBP 937.50 (€ 1,127.24) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Admittedly, works by Etienne de Lavallée-Poussin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A seated woman sewing; and A seated woman working at her embroidery in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 7,479.99).

Die Arbeit A female nude seen from behind, with two putti, among acanthus-leaf decoration von Etienne de Lavallée-Poussin wurde im Juli 2010 in der Auktion Living with Design: The Collections of Walter Lees and Mr NC. bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 937,50 (€ 1.127,24) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Etienne de Lavallée-Poussin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A seated woman sewing; and A seated woman working at her embroidery im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.040,00 (€ 7.479,99).
