Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Etienne Carjat achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in April 2017. In the Portrait of a Collector: The John M. Bransten Collection of Photographs auction, the work Charles Baudelaire, c. 1862 sold for USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,671.41) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Etienne Carjat achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Charles Baudelaire, Le Dernier Portrait, Paris, 1865 in November 2017 with an auction result of EUR 112,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Etienne Carjat erzielte im April 2017 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Portrait of a Collector: The John M. Bransten Collection of Photographs wurde die Arbeit Charles Baudelaire, c. 1862 für USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.671,41) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Etienne Carjat erzielen.
