Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work Portrait Of Étienne Jeaurat (1699-1789) by Étienne Aubry. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 26,250.00 (€ 29,995.20) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Étienne Aubry have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'La Turque', presumed portrait of Mademoiselle Duthé (1748-1830), mistress of the Comte d'Artois, full-length, reclining on an 'ottomane' in October 2018 with an auction result of USD 187,500.00 (€ 165,460.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of Étienne Jeaurat (1699-1789) von Étienne Aubry zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 26.250,00 (€ 29.995,20) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Étienne Aubry auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'La Turque', presumed portrait of Mademoiselle Duthé (1748-1830), mistress of the Comte d'Artois, full-length, reclining on an 'ottomane' im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 187.500,00 (€ 165.460,64).
