Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work French The Fair Spinner by Etienne Adolphe Piot for USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,477.72). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Etienne Adolphe Piot - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work French a Young Girl With Origami Birds, which sold at auction in May 2015 for USD 68,750.00 (€ 62,534.11).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit French The Fair Spinner von Etienne Adolphe Piot für USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.477,72) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Etienne Adolphe Piot mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit French a Young Girl With Origami Birds beobachtet, die im Mai 2015 für USD 68.750,00 (€ 62.534,11) versteigert wurde.
