This artwork by Ethan Cook achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in an online auction in February 2021. In the Wired: Online Auction auction, the work without title sold for GBP 6,300.00 (€ 7,265.86) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ethan Cook have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Begin in one corner) in March last year with an auction result of USD 50,400.00 (€ 45,434.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ethan Cook erzielte im Februar 2021 bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Wired: Online Auction wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 6.300,00 (€ 7.265,86) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ethan Cook auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Begin in one corner) im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.400,00 (€ 45.434,06).
