Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art, which included the work Tulips by Etel Adnan. It changed hands for a price of GBP 17,920.00 (€ 20,765.38) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Etel Adnan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 352,800.00 (€ 417,972.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tulips von Etel Adnan zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 17.920,00 (€ 20.765,38) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Etel Adnan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 352.800,00 (€ 417.972,71).
