Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2013 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work Play American Sweet (M&M) / Play American Sweet (Smarties) by Erwin Windu Pranata. The price achieved of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 3,670.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Erwin Windu Pranata - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 1 Eye Mickey, which sold at auction in April 2012 for HKD 81,250.00 (€ 7,916.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2013 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Play American Sweet (M&M) / Play American Sweet (Smarties) von Erwin Windu Pranata zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 3.670,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Erwin Windu Pranata mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 1 Eye Mickey beobachtet, die im April 2012 für HKD 81.250,00 (€ 7.916,79) versteigert wurde.
