Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2004 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work On The Atlantic Coast by Erwin Carl Wilhelm Günter. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,314.50 (€ 1,180.99). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Erwin Carl Wilhelm Günter - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sailing into the harbour, which sold at auction in January 2002 for EUR 4,700.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit On The Atlantic Coast von Erwin Carl Wilhelm Günter zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.314,50 (€ 1.180,99) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Erwin Carl Wilhelm Günter mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sailing into the harbour beobachtet, die im Januar 2002 für EUR 4.700,00 versteigert wurde.
