In September 2008 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings 'Including Indonesian Art'., which included the work Boats in open water by Erwin Carl Wilhelm Günter. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 3,750.00. Other works by Erwin Carl Wilhelm Günter have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of EUR 4,700.00 in January 2002 for the work Sailing into the harbour.

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 3.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 3.750,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Erwin Carl Wilhelm Günter haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von EUR 4.700,00 im Januar 2002 für die Arbeit Sailing into the harbour beobachtet.
