Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Discoorsin' her by Erskine Nicol was sold in the The Irish Sale auction at Christies in London in May 2007. It changed hands for a price of GBP 4,560.00 (€ 6,710.35) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Erskine Nicol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Salmon Fishing in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 48,000.00 (€ 70,635.25).
