This work without title by Ernst Vijlbrief was auctioned at Sothebys in Amsterdam in May 2011. It achieved a price of EUR 1,188.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 70 %. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ernst Vijlbrief; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Children sold at auction in March 2007 with the realized price of EUR 1,920.00.

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ernst Vijlbrief kam im Mai 2011 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 1.188,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 70 %. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Ernst Vijlbrief; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Children im März 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 1.920,00.
