This artwork by Ernst Stuven achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2005. In the OLD MASTER PICTURES AND DRAWINGS auction, the work Roses With A Butterfly, A Bluebottle And A Snail On A Stone Ledge sold for EUR 21,600.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ernst Stuven - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Roses, a lily and convulvulus in a glass vase, with two red admiral butterflies and a caterpillar, on a wooden ledge, which sold at auction in April 2005 for GBP 54,000.00 (€ 79,927.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ernst Stuven erzielte im November 2005 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion OLD MASTER PICTURES AND DRAWINGS wurde die Arbeit Roses With A Butterfly, A Bluebottle And A Snail On A Stone Ledge für EUR 21.600,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 10.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ernst Stuven mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Roses, a lily and convulvulus in a glass vase, with two red admiral butterflies and a caterpillar, on a wooden ledge beobachtet, die im April 2005 für GBP 54.000,00 (€ 79.927,86) versteigert wurde.
