Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2006 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Russian Pictures, which included the work A salver of fruit and various vessels on a draped table by Ernst Czernotzky. The price achieved of GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,770.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Other works by Ernst Czernotzky have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2006 the work Oriental still life was auctioned for GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,782.04).
