It achieved a price of SGD 25,200.00 (€ 12,138.80), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 68%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ernst Agerbeek - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Chinese barber's shop, which sold at auction in December 2016 for GBP 30,000.00 (€ 35,074.87).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von SGD 25.200,00 (€ 12.138,80) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 68%. Für andere Arbeiten von Ernst Agerbeek mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Chinese barber's shop beobachtet, die im Dezember 2016 für GBP 30.000,00 (€ 35.074,87) versteigert wurde.
