Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work La spagnola by Ernesto Fontana for EUR 700.00. This price was achieved in the auction Dipinti e Sculture del XIX e XX Secolo at Il Ponte and was even below the estimate range of EUR 800.00 – 900.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Ernesto Fontana have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The awakening of the daughter of Jaïris in June 2004 with an auction result of EUR 4,182.50.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit La spagnola von Ernesto Fontana für EUR 700,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Dipinti e Sculture del XIX e XX Secolo bei Il Ponte erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 800,00 – 900,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ernesto Fontana auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The awakening of the daughter of Jaïris im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 4.182,50.
