This work of art by Ernesto Fontana could be acquired at Il Ponte in November 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Dipinti e Sculture Del XIX e XX Secolo auction, the work Allegoria changed hands for EUR 500.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 600.00 – 700.00. Admittedly, works by Ernesto Fontana have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The awakening of the daughter of Jaïris in June 2004 with an auction result of EUR 4,182.50.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ernesto Fontana auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The awakening of the daughter of Jaïris im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 4.182,50.
