The work Racing yachts off the Nab lightship by Ernest Stuart was sold in the The Marine Sale auction at Bonhams in London in October this year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,280.00 (€ 1,469.80), 60% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ernest Stuart; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The racing yawl Bingo off the Nab Lightship sold at auction in May 2000 with the realized price of GBP 1,762.50 (€ 2,828.16).

Die Arbeit Racing yachts off the Nab lightship von Ernest Stuart wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion The Marine Sale bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.280,00 (€ 1.469,80) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis.
