The work Au bord de la mer, Menton by Ernest-Louis Lessieux was sold in the 19th Century European Art Including Russian Pictures auction at Christies in London in March 2007. The price achieved of GBP 1,680.00 (€ 2,472.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00.
