Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Erik Pape could be acquired at Sothebys in Amsterdam in March 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours auction, the work 'Bassin Rond, Grijs/Blauw' changed hands for EUR 96.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,200.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Erik Pape - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Canal St Denis', which sold at auction in March 2007 for EUR 360.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Erik Pape konnte im März 2007 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours wechselte die Arbeit 'Bassin Rond, Grijs/Blauw' für EUR 96,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.200,00 – 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Erik Pape mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Canal St Denis' beobachtet, die im März 2007 für EUR 360,00 versteigert wurde.
