Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "Vulkanlandskap" by Erik Olson was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in May this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 25,000.00 – 30,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 20,000.00 (€ 1,723.30). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Erik Olson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work ”Carré Rouge" in May 2021 with an auction result of SEK 6,800,000.00 (€ 671,412.17).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit "Vulkanlandskap" von Erik Olson im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 25.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 20.000,00 (€ 1.723,30) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Erik Olson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ”Carré Rouge" im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 6.800.000,00 (€ 671.412,17).
