Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April this year Bonhams held the auction Discovery Prints Sale Online, which included the work Pride of Lions by Erich Schmidt-Kestner. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 80.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 89.25 (€ 101.72). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Erich Schmidt-Kestner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Der Abschiedskuss. in November last year with an auction result of EUR 3,696.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Discovery Prints Sale Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pride of Lions von Erich Schmidt-Kestner zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 80,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 89,25 (€ 101,72) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Erich Schmidt-Kestner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Der Abschiedskuss. im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 3.696,00.
