This artwork by Eric Fischl achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November 2006. In the Post War and Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction, the work Daddy's Girl sold for USD 1,920,000.00 (€ 1,447,854.61) - well above the upper estimate of USD 800,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eric Fischl - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Old Man's Boat and the Old Man's Dog, which sold at auction in May last year for USD 4,140,000.00 (€ 3,857,981.55).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Eric Fischl erzielte im November 2006 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post War and Contemporary Art Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Daddy's Girl für USD 1.920.000,00 (€ 1.447.854,61) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 800.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Eric Fischl mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Old Man's Boat and the Old Man's Dog beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für USD 4.140.000,00 (€ 3.857.981,55) versteigert wurde.
