A top price for Erasmus Quellinus II - as previously expected
In December 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Evening Sale, which included the work The Triumph Of Galatea by Erasmus Quellinus II. The price achieved of GBP 250,000.00 (€ 278,522.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Triumph Of Galatea is the most expensive artwork by Erasmus Quellinus II that we have observed at auctions so far.
