Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 32,500.00 (€ 44,133.44). Admittedly, works by Erasmus Quellinus II have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Triumph Of Galatea in December 2018 with an auction result of GBP 250,000.00 (€ 278,522.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Portrait Of Jan Philips Van Thielen (1618-1667), Half-Length, In A Landscape, His Left Arm Resting On A Pedestal- En Grisaille von Erasmus Quellinus II kam im Dezember 2015 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 32.500,00 (€ 44.133,44) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Erasmus Quellinus II auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Triumph Of Galatea im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 250.000,00 (€ 278.522,17).
