Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Poppy fields before the mountains by Epaminondas Thomopoulos was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2007. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,688.61) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Epaminondas Thomopoulos achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Greek Reverie in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 31,700.00 (€ 44,388.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Poppy fields before the mountains von Epaminondas Thomopoulos kam im September 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.688,61) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Epaminondas Thomopoulos erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Greek Reverie im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 31.700,00 (€ 44.388,20).
