Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Greek The Sea by Epaminondas Thomopoulos was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2007. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 7,001.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Epaminondas Thomopoulos have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Greek Reverie in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 31,700.00 (€ 44,388.20).

Die Arbeit Greek The Sea von Epaminondas Thomopoulos kam im November 2007 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 7.001,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Epaminondas Thomopoulos auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Greek Reverie im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 31.700,00 (€ 44.388,20).
