In the 19th Century European Paintings auction, the work Spanish fishermen changed hands for GBP 21,250.00 (€ 23,674.38) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Despite this disappointing result, Spanish fishermen is the most expensive artwork by Enrique Martínez Cubells y Ruiz that we have observed at auction so far.
