In July 2017 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European & Orientalist Art, which included the work Fishing boats by Enrique Martínez Cubells y Ruiz. The price achieved of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,250.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Other works by Enrique Martínez Cubells y Ruiz have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2018 the work Spanish fishermen was auctioned for GBP 21,250.00 (€ 23,674.38).
