Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2001 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Twentieth Century Art including Belgian Art and, which included the work Composition by Engelbert van Anderlecht. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 4,500.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 4,700.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Engelbert van Anderlecht have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in April 2016 with an auction result of EUR 45,900.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2001 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Twentieth Century Art including Belgian Art and durch, in der auch die Arbeit Composition von Engelbert van Anderlecht zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.500,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 4.700,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Engelbert van Anderlecht auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 45.900,00.
