The work Calligraphy In Running Script by Emperor Daoguang was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2021. It achieved a price of HKD 478,800.00 (€ 51,263.04), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 71%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Emperor Daoguang; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Seven-character Poem in Running Script Calligraphy sold at auction in November 2011 with the realized price of HKD 980,000.00 (€ 93,753.07).

Die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script von Emperor Daoguang kam im April 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 478.800,00 (€ 51.263,04) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 71%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Emperor Daoguang; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Seven-character Poem in Running Script Calligraphy im November 2011 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 980.000,00 (€ 93.753,07).
