Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Flower-Cart Beside Lamp-Post by Mané-Katz for USD 25,000.00 (€ 21,822.63). This price was achieved in the auction Israeli & International Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Mané-Katz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wedding in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 145,875.00 (€ 170,262.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Flower-Cart Beside Lamp-Post von Mané-Katz für USD 25.000,00 (€ 21.822,63) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Israeli & International Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mané-Katz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wedding im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 145.875,00 (€ 170.262,25).
