In the 19th Century European Paintings Including German, Austrian and Central European Paintings, The Orientalist Sale, Spanish Painting and the Scandinavian Sale auction, the work Italian the Campiello And The Church Of The Abbey Of Misericordia, Venice; A Pair sold for GBP 34,850.00 (€ 42,380.84) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Emma Ciardi; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Grand Fête On The Grand Canal sold at auction in December 2003 with the realized price of GBP 53,775.00 (€ 76,165.24).
