Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Studio (Big Tomato) by Emily Mae Smith was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 400,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 441,000.00 (€ 52,356.16). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emily Mae Smith achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Broom Life in June 2021 with an auction result of HKD 12,350,000.00 (€ 1,341,530.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Studio (Big Tomato) von Emily Mae Smith kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 400.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 441.000,00 (€ 52.356,16) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emily Mae Smith erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Broom Life im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 12.350.000,00 (€ 1.341.530,22).
