This artwork by Emily Gernild achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bruun Rasmussen in February this year. In the Modern art and design auction, the work “Lemon and Grid” sold for DKK 7,000.00 (€ 940.20) - well above the estimate of DKK 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Emily Gernild have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work “Celebratory Fragments”, 2020 in December this year with an auction result of DKK 60,000.00 (€ 8,049.18).
Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Emily Gernild erzielte im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern art and design wurde die Arbeit “Lemon and Grid” für DKK 7.000,00 (€ 940,20) versteigert – und damit weit über dem Schätzpreis von DKK 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Emily Gernild auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit “Celebratory Fragments”, 2020 im Dezember diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 60.000,00 (€ 8.049,18).
