Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Emilio Boggio was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,066.00). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emilio Boggio achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Lecture in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 92,500.00 (€ 64,343.35).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Emilio Boggio im Mai 2012 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.066,00) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emilio Boggio erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Lecture im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 92.500,00 (€ 64.343,35).
