Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work LOUIS XVI'S LAST HUNT, AT FONTAINEBLEAU by Horace Vernet for EUR 69,300.00. This price was achieved in the auction Tableaux Dessins Sculptures 1300-1900 at Sothebys in Paris and was even below the estimate range of EUR 80,000.00 – 120,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Horace Vernet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Death Of Prince Poniatowski On October 19Th, 1813 in June 2017 with an auction result of EUR 511,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit LOUIS XVI'S LAST HUNT, AT FONTAINEBLEAU von Horace Vernet für EUR 69.300,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Tableaux Dessins Sculptures 1300-1900 bei Sothebys in Paris erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Horace Vernet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Death Of Prince Poniatowski On October 19Th, 1813 im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 511.500,00.
