Auction result fails to reach estimate
When the work An overlaid and etched yellow glass bonbonniere by Émile Gallé was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in November this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously set the estimate at DKK 4,000.00, but this failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 2,200.00 (€ 295.07). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Émile Gallé achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vase in June 2020 with an auction result of EUR 32,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als die Arbeit An overlaid and etched yellow glass bonbonniere von Émile Gallé im November diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit DKK 4.000,00 angegeben, den dieses Werk bei seiner Versteigerung leider nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 2.200,00 (€ 295,07) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Émile Gallé erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vase im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 32.500,00.
