This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Art at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 4,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Emile Eisman-Semenowsky - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of A Woman In A White Head Scarf; And Portrait of A Woman In A Red Tunic With Gold Trim, which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 36,000.00 (€ 53,422.19).
