The work Natura morta by Emanuele Cavalli was sold in the ARTE MODERNA E CONTEMPORANEA auction at Christies in Milan in November 2000. The price achieved of ITL 14,100,000.00 (€ 12,974.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as ITL 12,000,000.00 – 16,000,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Natura morta is the most expensive artwork by Emanuele Cavalli that we have observed at auctions so far.
