Auction result fails to reach estimate
In October this year a collector was able to acquire the work “Under ”Sukkenes Bro“, Venedig” by Ellen Hofman-Bang for DKK 2,300.00 (€ 308.18). This price was achieved in the auction Paintings, furniture and varia at Bruun Rasmussen and was even lower than the DKK 3,000.00 estimate set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ellen Hofman-Bang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Wailing Wall in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,600.00 (€ 14,127.05).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Im Oktober diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit “Under ”Sukkenes Bro“, Venedig” von Ellen Hofman-Bang für DKK 2.300,00 (€ 308,18) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Paintings, furniture and varia bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb des vom Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreises von DKK 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ellen Hofman-Bang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Wailing Wall im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.600,00 (€ 14.127,05).
