Auction result fails to reach estimate
When the work Portrait of a man with hood by Ellen Hofman-Bang was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in November this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously set the estimate at DKK 3,000.00, but this failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 1,500.00 (€ 201.18). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ellen Hofman-Bang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Wailing Wall in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,600.00 (€ 14,127.05).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als die Arbeit Portrait of a man with hood von Ellen Hofman-Bang im November diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit DKK 3.000,00 angegeben, den dieses Werk bei seiner Versteigerung leider nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 1.500,00 (€ 201,18) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ellen Hofman-Bang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Wailing Wall im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.600,00 (€ 14.127,05).
