A top price for Elizabeth Cope - as previously expected
In May 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction The Irish Sale, which included the work Still Life With Cat And Flowers by Elizabeth Cope. It changed hands for a price of GBP 5,760.00 (€ 8,476.23) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Still Life With Cat And Flowers is the most expensive artwork by Elizabeth Cope that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Mai 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Irish Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life With Cat And Flowers von Elizabeth Cope zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 5.760,00 (€ 8.476,23) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Still Life With Cat And Flowers das teuerste Kunstwerk von Elizabeth Cope, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
