Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Post-War British Art, which included the work The Garden by Elisabeth Vellacott. The price achieved of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,427.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Other works by Elisabeth Vellacott have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2017 the work The Dwarf was auctioned for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,875.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Post-War British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Garden von Elisabeth Vellacott zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.427,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Elisabeth Vellacott konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2017 die Arbeit The Dwarf für GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.875,17) versteigert.
