Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work French A Spring Recital by Elisabeth Sonrel for USD 1,750.00 (€ 1,537.92). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elisabeth Sonrel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A girl wearing Breton costume in July 2018 with an auction result of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 49,053.37).
