The work Australian Tamarama Beach by Elioth Gruner was auctioned at Sothebys in Melbourne in May 2009. It achieved a price of AUD 90,000.00 (€ 50,925.24), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Elioth Gruner; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Australian Mingoola Valley sold at auction in May 2007 with the realized price of AUD 150,000.00 (€ 92,232.22).
