This artwork by Elijah Hinsdale Burritt achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in February 2007. In the The House Sale auction, the work Atlas of the Heavens: Six Plates sold for USD 5,760.00 (€ 4,353.74) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Elijah Hinsdale Burritt; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Atlas of The Heavens: Six Plates sold at auction in April 2006 with the realized price of USD 7,200.00 (€ 5,703.42).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 92 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Elijah Hinsdale Burritt erzielte im Februar 2007 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The House Sale wurde die Arbeit Atlas of the Heavens: Six Plates für USD 5.760,00 (€ 4.353,74) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Elijah Hinsdale Burritt; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Atlas of The Heavens: Six Plates im April 2006 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 7.200,00 (€ 5.703,42).
