Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Atlas Designed To Illustrate The Geography of The Heavens: Six Plates by Elijah Hinsdale Burritt was sold in the The House Sale auction at Christies in New York in April 2005. The price achieved of USD 3,600.00 (€ 2,786.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Elijah Hinsdale Burritt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Atlas of The Heavens: Six Plates, which sold at auction in April 2006 for USD 7,200.00 (€ 5,703.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Atlas Designed To Illustrate The Geography of The Heavens: Six Plates von Elijah Hinsdale Burritt wurde im April 2005 in der Auktion The House Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.600,00 (€ 2.786,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Elijah Hinsdale Burritt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Atlas of The Heavens: Six Plates beobachtet, die im April 2006 für USD 7.200,00 (€ 5.703,42) versteigert wurde.
