Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Au Café by Elie Anatole Pavil was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 11,250.00 (€ 8,681.90). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elie Anatole Pavil achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rêverie Sur Une Terrasse À Rabatelie-Anatole Pavil ; Daydreaming On A Terrace In Rabat ; Signed And Located Lower Left Rabat ; Oil On Canvas, In Its Original Frame in October 2012 with an auction result of EUR 132,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Au Café von Elie Anatole Pavil im Oktober 2012 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 11.250,00 (€ 8.681,90) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Elie Anatole Pavil erzielen.
